Brandon is originally from Cape Breton and completed his undergraduate studies at Cape Breton University before earning his law degree at the University of New Brunswick in 2019.
Brandon articled with Legal Aid NL and was called to the Newfoundland Bar in February of 2020, winning the Provincial Court Judges Award (highest standing in Criminal Law) in the process. After being admitted to the Newfoundland Bar, Brandon worked as a Municipal Prosecutor and in-house legal counsel for the City of St. John’s before joining MacGillivray Law as an associate.
Brandon has appeared before all levels of Court in Newfoundland as well as the Federal Court of Canada and has experience litigating complex insurance matters in various Canadian jurisdictions including Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.
In his spare time Brandon enjoys golfing, softball, soccer, and hockey, as well as hiking and skiing.
