Air Canada Flight AC624 Settlement Approved

Class Action

1 min

Aug 10, 2026

Air Canada

The settlement in the Air Canada Flight AC624 class action suit has been approved by the court.

On March 29, 2015, Air Canada Flight AC624 crashed short of Runway 05 at Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Flight passengers are jointly represented by the law firms CFM Lawyers LLP, Wagners, and MacGillivray Injury and Insurance Law.

Following a hearing on June 22, 2026, the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia issued its Settlement Approval Order on June 26, 2026, finding the Settlement Agreement fair, reasonable, and in the best interests of the Class. Air Canada, Nav Canada, and the Halifax International Airport Authority have agreed to pay $18,075,000.00 CAD to settle the claims, without any admission of liability or wrongdoing.

There is no claim form to submit. Class Counsel has valued each Class Member’s claim and will deliver a summary of that valuation to each Class Member. Settlement funds will then be distributed in accordance with the court-approved Distribution Protocol.

Class Members are encouraged to read the Notice of Settlement Approval.
