Tristan was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Memorial University (2013). He obtained his law degree from the University of New Brunswick (2016), where he was a teaching assistant. Tristan was engaged in his law school community as a moot coach and a volunteer with Pro Bono Students Canada.

Prior to being admitted to the Newfoundland and Labrador bar in February, 2017, Tristan articled with Wadden Peddigrew Hogan, a small injury-focused firm based out of St. John’s. After a short time practicing Plaintiff personal injury law in Newfoundland, Tristan accepted a position at MacGillivray Law and was admitted to the Nova Scotia bar in June, 2017.

Tristan believes that many insurance industry practices are designed to undermine and undercompensate accident victims. He has dedicated his practice to fighting for full and fair compensation on behalf of clients in their pursuit toward recovery.

In his spare time Tristan enjoys working out, reading, and spending time with his family. He lives in St. John’s with his wife, Alyssia and two children, Gwen and Tristan.
