Farhan graduated with an LL.B degree from Pakistan and he was awarded the Jaishi Ram gold medal for his excellent performance in law school. Later, Farhan decided to move to Canada for his Master of Laws (LL.M) degree at the Schulich School of Law where he also received the Schulich Scholarship to study at Dalhousie University.
Farhan completed his LL.M degree in 2015 and was immediately hired as a Research Analyst at our firm. Farhan was so happy with his learning experience that he stayed to article at our office in New Glasgow. During his articling year, Farhan had the opportunity to work on various major cases under the supervision of his principal, Jamie MacGillivray, such as the Air Canada plane crash class action proceedings. Farhan got married in February, 2017 and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar as a Barrister & Solicitor in June, 2017. He now lives in Halifax with his wife, Sadaf, and their son.
Farhan is passionate about helping people who are injured due to someone else’s negligence and are fighting alone against powerful insurance companies. Farhan sees this as his responsibility as a lawyer to give back to the community and help clients injured in accidents due to another’s fault. Especially, Farhan wants to help immigrants like himself who are injured in accidents or denied insurance benefits, so that they get an equal opportunity to access justice.
