Coralie McCarthy is an Associate at MacGillivray Injury & Insurance Law in Moncton, New Brunswick, and practises in French and English. She has practised exclusively in injury and insurance law since her admission to the bar.
Coralie is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia. She received her Juris Doctor from the Université de Moncton in 2020, after a Bachelor of Social Sciences at the same university in 2019. She was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2021 and to the New Brunswick Bar in 2022. She has represented clients before the Court of King’s Bench of New Brunswick and the New Brunswick Court of Appeal.
She is fluently bilingual, and believes that clients should have the opportunity to communicate in the language in which they feel most comfortable. Legal matters can be complex and often deeply personal, which makes clear and effective communication especially important.
Coralie is a longstanding volunteer for Pro Bono Students Canada and the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association. In 2023 she became a member of the Board of the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association, and in 2024 she became the State Delegate for New Brunswick for the American Association for Justice.
In her spare time she enjoys travelling with her family, spending time outdoors and drinking a nice cup of coffee.
