Nicolle A. Snow is a Partner at MacGillivray Injury & Insurance Law in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She earned her LL.B. at Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law, was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2002, and has practised exclusively in personal injury and insurance-related claims ever since.

Nicolle has 24 years of legal experience. Over that time she has represented clients before the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, and has resolved a great many claims without either. A negotiated settlement that comes early and covers what a client needs is usually a better outcome than a judgment that arrives years later.

Practising in one area for more than two decades means Nicolle has seen how insurers behave across the whole cycle: which arguments recur, which medical evidence carries weight, and which delays are strategic. Injured people are rarely in a position to wait, and a large part of her job is making sure the process does not simply exhaust them.

She also mentors articled clerks at the firm, several of whom have gone on to be called to the Nova Scotia Bar.

Nicolle is a member of the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association and spent several years on the Association’s Education Committee. She is also a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.

Outside of practice Nicolle keeps a real work-life balance, which includes time with family and friends, hiking, reading, yoga and meditation.
