Ashwin was born in Delhi, India and obtained his law degree from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in Delhi in 2014. Ashwin moved to Canada in the fall of 2014 to complete his masters degree in law from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. He completed his degree in 2017, becoming the youngest internationally trained lawyer to obtain a Masters Degree in Law from Dalhousie University.
Ashwin enjoys watching sports, especially soccer, cricket, and tennis. In his spare time, he likes to write soccer blogs and has been published in Dal Magazine. He also enjoys exploring new places in Atlantic Canada, Cape Breton being one of his favourite.
Ashwin speaks English, Hindi, and Tamil.
